The 2013 GREAT NEW ENGLAND WINGS & WHEELS

The Galaxy Community Council, organizer of the Great New England Air Show, is proud to present the first edition of the Great New England Wings and Wheels, August 24^th and 25^th, 2013, at the Westover Metropolitan Airport, 255 Padgette Street in Chicopee, MA.

The two day family-friendly event will feature static vintage and modern aircraft, as well as CARS, CARS, CARS.  Music groups, along with food and beverage vendors will keep everyone entertained and nourished.  The cost to attend is $10 per person.  Children under 12 are free.

Aviation enthusiasts will see civilian aircraft and War Birds, including a C-47 transport, General Hap Arnold’s B-25 Bomber and other World War II aircraft.  It is possible, but not confirmed, that other static aircraft may include a few currently operational military aircraft.

For automobile enthusiasts, early 1900’s antiques to modern exotics and everything in between will be on display. The cost for vehicle entries is only $20.00 per day and includes your parking spot, admission for driver and rider, and a goodie bag for the first 500 registrants.  An early registration discount of $5.00 will be available at our web site.

 

The events schedule, prize  schedule, musical  line-up, gate & registration  fees, and additional acts are    still to be determined. All proceeds will benefit the next edition of the Great New England Air Show at Westover Air Reserve Base, the Pioneer Valley USO, other military assistance organizations and the Springfield, MA Shriners’ Hospital for Children.
